I’m
writing a guide about what it’s been like to set this business up, and hope to
peddle it somehow, either by an e-printing or by actually having a publisher
turn it into a bound volume. A few chapter titles are:
-
“Why
start a business dealing with retired people working?”
-
“Will
you make money”?
-
"Gathering
employees or gathering employers?”
-
“Sole
Proprietor, LLC, S Corp, C Corp”
-
“Cost
of getting set up”
-
“What’s
in a Name”
-
“License/registrations/insurance”
-
“Public
relations, advertising, networking, pounding the pavement”
-
“Deadbeat employers”
-
“Setting prices”
The Guide
is about half finished, and readers who are experienced businesspeople will find
it very elementary, but perhaps entertaining. Those who are like me, rank
beginners, will probably find it very helpful.
Since it
isn’t finished, and we don’t know what final form it will take, stay tuned for
more information. As I mentioned, it might be part of the membership package
for the “retired people working” network of offices.
